Introducing kScout Due Diligence, a new online service from 401kExchange that revolutionizes the process of generating proposals and conducting due diligence.

Designed to save retirement advisors valuable time, kScout Due Diligence is an automated proposal generation system that dramatically streamlines the vendor search and RFP (Request for Proposal) process for the 401(k) industry. kScout Due Diligence handles the due-diligence research and prepares a customized, consolidated report with real-time pricing, so advisors can focus on closing the deal.

Drawing upon 401kExchange's industry-leading databases and services -- combined with landmark DCP studies from the Boston Research Group -- kScout Due Diligence delivers powerful capabilities not found anywhere else in the industry.

Customized, real-time proposals generate more new business

A more comprehensive vendor-search tool than 401kScout (also by 401kExchange), kScout Due Diligence is used further along in the sales process. Here's how it works:

  • Advisors submit plan-level detail to providers online, who generate direct proposals with real-time pricing. A time-saving alternative to the traditional RFP process, this electronic "proposal" can be completed by providers in a matter of minutes. Up to seven providers on each case can respond with real-time pricing based on specific fund line-ups. Advisors review the responses and select their top three providers.
  • 401kExchange then prepares a customized due diligence report focusing on the selected providers. The Navigator report is all in one document, ready to take to clients, which makes for a more efficient and impressive presentation than a stack of separate proposals.

More comprehensive than reports provided by leading pension consultants, Navigator reports offer a detailed analysis of a sponsor's current plan, provider, and investments -- as compared to industry norms and to three other service providers. Reports include:

  • Plan expenses - comparing real-time pricing
  • Provider service quality comparisons and ratings - based on preeminent DCP Studies from the Boston Research Group.
  • Detailed investment analysis - powered by FiRM (Fiduciary Investment Reporting Manager), an investment-monitoring tool developed by 401kExchange and the Center for Fiduciary Management.

Navigator reports can be used to: 1) complete a comprehensive RFP process or 2) conduct a due diligence that will fulfill the sponsor's obligations under ERISA to conduct a periodic review of their plan.
