Highly Compensated Employee
An employee who during either the determination year or previous year: 1) was a 5% or more owner of the business and, 2) earned in excess of $85,000, 3) earned more than $66,000 and was in the top 20% paid group of employees, or 4) earned more than $60,000 and was an officer of the employer.
